Mrs. Machelle Scogin

I am thrilled to serve as the Principal of Judy Rucker Elementary for the 6th year. I am honored to serve you in the very school that I taught Kindergarten, First, and Second grade 17 years ago. My husband of 28 years, Jim, and I have three amazing children, Morgan, Madison, and Mason. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching anything on HGTV, and shopping for great bargains! I have lived in Prosper for 18 years and seen the many changes that have shaped our community and school district with the rapid growth. I am excited about the positive direction I see the Prosper community and Prosper ISD headed.

Judy Rucker Elementary school is a special place where roots run deep and a sense of family is felt. Rucker Elementary celebrated its 21st anniversary this year. Each year, on October 11th, we celebrate Judy Rucker Day. I hope that you will be involved and invested in the school experience that Rucker provides such as PTO, Rucker Rocks assemblies, Watch D.O.G.S., and various clubs/events. It is my honor to serve you and your family in the most exemplary manner.

Ms. Marisol Balderas

I am honored to serve Rucker Elementary as Assistant Principal this year.  This is my 12th year in education and have had the privilege to be part of the Prosper family for my last 8 years. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas.  I have my Masters degree in Leadership and Policies Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.

I am a proud mother of one, believer that everything is possible, and an advocate for all kids.  My goal is to act as a servant leader for our teachers, parents, and students. I believe that a great partnership between all stakeholders is an essential part of ensuring success for all students and building well rounded individuals.

It is going to be a great year as well all embrace the journey together!
