Meet Folsom's Counselor
Ms. Jaimie Miller
Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year at Folsom Elementary!
Hello! My name is Jaimie Miller, and I am beyond thrilled to be joining the Fierce Folsom Team as the new school counselor. I moved to Mckinney, TX last year with my family and joined the Prosper ISD family by teaching ELAR at Rogers Middle School. Prior to that, I have served six years in education from teaching Resource English at Permian High School where I also served as a special education case manager to being the school counselor at Gonzales Elementary in Odessa, Tx. I have my Bachelor's degree in English Language Arts and my Master's degree in Community Counseling and School Counseling. I am a proud alumni of the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. My latest accomplishment is officially becoming a Google Level 1 Educator, and I definitely look forward to growing more with technology.
My husband Jeremy and I have been married for five years and have a beautiful daughter named Skylar who is 20 months old. Skylar loves to read books, go swimming, and spend time with her friends and family at the park. Our family also has two dogs that are Labrador Retrievers named Lila and Ranger who love to go to the dog park and walk the trails. When I'm not at school, I love to go running (I am training for the Austin Half Marathon), take Skylar to Cherry Berry's, read, and visit with my family and friends.
I look forward to learning more about your student and your family. I know we will have a great year here at Folsom. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you ever have any questions or concerns.
Look forward to meeting you,
School Counselor EC-12
